This Quail crochet pattern has 2 versions included - a detailed version with options to make it look like a California Quail or a Gambel's quail, or a simple version without color changes, perfect for markets or to make a female quail! When made with Alize Velluto yarn and a 6mm hook, the finished plushie stands about 5.5 inches tall.

The finished quail sits on its own and works up quickly. This is a no-sew pattern - the head feather and feet are surface crocheted on, the tail is made in the round as you go (see tester appreciation photo)
