Sunflower Sunburst Granny Square - Free Crochet Pattern

I’ve always loved sunflowers. I also love granny squares because you can do so much with them! This pattern uses sunflower colors in a classic Sunburst granny square to make a beautiful flower. You can use individual squares as coasters, combine 9 squares into a larger square for a pillow cover, or make a whole bunch of squares into a blanket. The possibilities are endless.

I used invisible joins and chainless starting double crochets to make it so you can’t tell where each round starts and ends. I will be working on a step-by-step video to help with the more complicated steps, but for now, here is the written pattern.

I will be making my blocks into a baby blanket, so stay tuned for posts on how to join the squares and crochet a border around the blanket 🙂
