This is my first ever newsletter! I’m so excited to share news from Krafty Kait with you each month.

At the end of April, I set up at my first EVER market! It was a little slow, but still a great success and I made some contacts with hosts of other markets coming up. It was fantastic practice for what I hope is a busy market season this year. I had so much fun picking things out with my mom and sister to make it look how I wanted it to and I’m very proud of how it turned out! I was super nervous to take the step into live craft shows, but I’m so glad I did it! This is your sign if you’ve been considering it. GO FOR IT!

After the market, I took a little break from working so hard on crochet projects to get through a couple of busy weeks at my full time job and I am slowly getting back into the swing of things.

New in the SHOP

I have been busy making new items and listing everything leftover from my Spring Market. I still have a few to add, but these are the newest that are currently available in my Etsy Shop

What I’m Hooked On

Yarn: Right now I have been making everything out of either Bernat Blanket or Parfait Chunky. I love Bernat for snugglers and larger items, but I love the softness and the size of Parfait Chunky for smaller things like keychains and stress balls.

Pattern: I’m currently obsessed with Dragons. I know I’m a little late to the party but I started Winnie the Dragon from @redmills_crochet this month and I have her body done. I am so in love! I also just got the Diddy Dex pattern from @handmadebyjodie and I think I will be making many many versions of that little cutie. If you like dragons, prepare yourself for cuteness overload!!

Drink: White Chocolate lattes! Just the right amount of sweetness, but not overly sweet.

Book: I just got “Fourth Wing” so I am super excited to start that! It will probably take me a while to get through with the little spare time I have, but I’m determined to read it.

What I’m Working On

I have applications in for several markets later this year. If everything goes well and I get accepted, I will have one market per month from July to November. I am so excited and have my fingers crossed for all of them! Stay tuned for updates.

I have been a little scattered with my goal setting so I hope to get back on track this month. I’ve decided to take a break from pattern tests for now. Pattern testing is a blast and I made a lot of friends and contacts, but it was a big distraction from the business side of things. I want to get back to making items for my shop and also work on some of my own patterns I have in the works 🙂

Thank you for being here and following along on this journey with me!
