Amigurumi Piglet - Free Crochet Pattern
My next animal in the farm animal series is a little amigurumi pig! I made him with soft Bernat Blanket yarn and short legs to make him cuddly and cute. This is an easy pattern that works up quickly. The finished piglet is about 3 inches tall and 7 inches long.

Materials
- Size N crochet hook
- Bernat Blanket Yarn in “Coral Blossom”
- 2 – 8mm safety eyes
- Black embroidery thread
- Fiber fill
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Pins for attaching pieces


Head/Body
- Row 1: 6sc in magic ring (6sts)
- Row 2: in back loops only, sc around (6sts)
- Row 3: inc around (12sts)
- Row 4: *1sc, inc* around (18sts)
- Row 5: sc around (18sts)
- Row 6: sc around (18sts)
- Attach the eyes between rows 4 and 5, 6 stitches apart
- Using the black embroidery thread and needle, sew 2 lines on the nose for the nostrils
- Row 7: sc around (18sts)
- Row 8: *1sc, dec* around (12sts)
- Row 9: *1sc, inc* around (18sts)
- Rows 10-14: sc around (18sts)
- Row 15: *1sc, dec* around (12sts)
- Stuff the body with fiber fill
- Row 16: dec around (6sts)
- Close up and fasten off
Ears (make 2)
- Row 1: 4sc in magic ring, ch1, turn (4sts)
- Row 2: sc, (sc, dc) in next, ch1, (dc, sc) in next, sc (7sts)
- Fasten off with long tail for attaching to the head
Tail
- Row 1: ch10, turn (10sts)
- Row 2: sc in 2nd ch, sc across (9sts)
- The tail will curl best if the sc are very tight
- Fasten off with a long tail to attach to body
Legs (make 4)
- Row 1: 4sc in magic ring (4sts)
- Row 2: in back loops only, sc around (4sts)
- Row 3: sc around (4sts)
- Fasten off with a long tail for attaching
Attach the ears to the sides of the head and the tail to the top of the back of the body. Attach the legs with the front ones angled forward to help hold up the head. Your little pig is finished and ready to climb trees 🙂
